The Professional Heritage Cell, a business empowerment arm of Christ Embassy Admiralty-Lekki, launched its maiden business seminar over the weekend.
The event drew aspiring entrepreneurs and business professionals for sessions tackling underemployment challenges.
Held at the Christ Embassy Centre in Admiralty-Lekki, Lagos, the programme, themed: “From Ideas to Impact: Faith, Skills, and Profitable Actions”, featured interactive workshops on digital proficiency and influencer marketing; critical thinking and problem-solving; communication skills, including personal branding and public speaking; and growth strategies via social media and marketing.
Sister Victoria Uwadoka-Anyianuka, the programme director, called it a faith-based initiative for professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs.
“This first edition launches a monthly programme to equip participants with knowledge for starting side gigs, refining existing businesses, or turning ideas into executable, profitable plans,” she said.
“We’re thrilled by the turnout and participants’ passion, as we expect their ideas to flourish.”
Uwadoka-Anyianuka noted that common barriers like knowledge gaps, fear, and weak systems, even when funding is available were some of the challenges facing business operators in Nigeria.
According to her, the Cell addresses these via training on sustainable processes. It also provides seed funding for vetted ideas, alongside mentoring and coaching.
She noted that Seminars run the last Saturday of each month, prioritizing in-person attendance in Lekki Phase 1 and nearby areas, with expansion and remote options planned.
She added that the effort supports Christ Embassy’s vision for faith-driven economic impact.
Some of the participants showed impressive enthusiasm in participation, seeking practicable solutions to advance their businesses. Some of the participants include regular job employees, entrepreneurs and media practitioners.
