The family of late Nollywood actor Chief Francis Duru has announced arrangements for his funeral and interment, inviting relatives, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to join them in celebrating his life and legacy.
In a funeral announcement signed by his son, Ebuka Duru, and sister, Anthonia Chenyi (née Duru), the family disclosed that a service of songs would be held in Abuja on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
The service will take place at Family Worship Center, Iris Gidado Street, Wuye, Abuja.
Another service of songs is scheduled for Thursday, December 10, at the late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru’s family compound in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
The funeral and interment will follow on Friday, December 11, in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
Describing the late actor as a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, the family said his death marked the end of a remarkable life but not the end of the memories and impact he left behind.
The family also expressed appreciation to friends, colleagues and members of the public for their prayers, calls, messages and support throughout their period of mourning.
They invited members of the public to join them in honouring the late actor, whose legacy they described as one of love, kindness and lasting impact.
