Peter Obi and his running mate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have taken their campaign message to Kaduna State, where they engaged citizens at a town hall meeting organised by their party.
The meeting, which followed a similar engagement in Port Harcourt, provided an opportunity for the presidential ticket to hear directly from residents and discuss some of the country’s pressing challenges.
Obi said their agenda centred on tackling poverty, insecurity, corruption and inefficiencies in the fuel subsidy system, while investing in education and healthcare. He also promised measures aimed at reducing the burden of fuel costs and creating an economy that would enable Nigerians to live with greater dignity.
The former Anambra State governor urged other political contenders to similarly engage directly with citizens, arguing that people-centred governance requires leaders to listen to the concerns of those they seek to represent.
The Kaduna engagement is part of the ticket’s wider series of town halls aimed at connecting with voters and discussing their vision for Nigeria ahead of the election.
